St.Aloysius Classmates of the Year 1984!

Dear Friends,
I trust that the effort put in by Paul, the POT Team and many others shall not lay to waste now that the ashes raised by the fire of the hubris of our re-union begins to settle on the mediocrity of our every-day lives!

In timely fashion, I have endeavoured, and not without lack of patience, persistence and any other 'p' that you can think of, to share a few tokens of that wonderful evening with you. It comes as no suprise to me that the sense of camaderie which once joined us all, in spite of any differences that we may have had, still survives till this day. It is with regret of equal magnitude, that I learn that the Aloysian spirit has all but died out and no semblance of what we had, exists in today's college students.

It is needless to say that this is a great pity, and that our society is all the less for this! Truth be told, that the pressures of modernn life have brought to bear upon our educational system in general, with St. Aloysius suffering the brunt, in particular. A banal example of how society has changed, and how with equanimity St. Aloysius has responded, is the abolishment of the traditional Wednesday mid-week break. This of course was not the crux of being an Aloysian..albeit a distinctive hallmark of our college, which we grew to love so much during our years there.

Anyway...there shall be more time, and space, to reminisce no doubt. So please come and keep alive the spirit of 1984 (apologies to George Orwell). You can do this by donating much of your hard earned cash to a worthy cause...such as is myself. My Bank Account details are BOV 4534528983472983 and kindly note that deposits to the tune of less than Lm 100 shall not be accepted.

In the meantime however please visit

and download the album there or watch the video that I prepared. The advantage here over You-Tube is that:

  1. I had got word that not all of you received the link to the You-Tube page. This obviously must have meant that most of you did not manage to see the clip; and
  2. Space is restricted to 10 mins of video there, whilst here...given that I bought some sizeable chunks of good old HDD at a pretty good price (methinks)...its...well..large

So enjoy..and keep posting with your comments please...and enough about that stupid game where 22 (+1) men run after a rolled ball of cowhide!
Best
Etienne
